Robin Gayle
Robin Gayle Wright was born in Dallas,
Texas, to Gayle (Gaston) she was an executive director for national operations
at Mary Kay, and Freddie Wright who was a pharmaceutical executive. Her
birthplace was San Diego, California. Her professional career began as a model
at age 14, and worked both in Paris and Japan. When she graduated from high
school she became an actor. She was included in the soap opera Santa Barbara
(1984), which was nominated three more times for Daytime Emmys. She was in love
with Dane Witherspoon during the first season. They were married in 1986. In
1987, she appeared in the role of the title character in The Princess Bride.
She was given the role of Santa Barbara but left to star in Denial (1990)
alongside Jason Patric. She was introduced to Sean Penn in 1990 while she was
appearing in State of Grace (1990). They had one daughter Dylan Frances with
him and the son was named Hopper Jack. Robin returned to Hollywood following a
break, and landed one of her most famous parts: Tara in The Playboys (1992).
She was an amazing actress and a brilliant actor. She was next seen in Toys
(1992) together alongside Robin Williams. She gave an enthralling performance.
Wright was in 1994's blockbuster blockbuster Forrest Gump (1994), starring with
Tom Hanks. Wright was nominated to win a Golden Globe Award for her part as
Jenny. She was given a small role in The Crossing Guard (1995) which starred
Jack Nicholson. After declining 14 roles she played the title character in
MGM/UA's Moll Flanders (1996), directed by Pen Densham, and co-starring Morgan
Freeman and Stockard Channing. Then, she starred in Erin Dignam's Loved (1997)
together with William Hurt.
