Emily Swallow

American actor Emily Swallow was born December 18, 1979. Her performances on The Mentalist as Kim Fischer and Supernatural as Amara/The Darkness are her most known. She was also the Armorer in Star Wars' live-action series The Mandalorian. Emily played one small part in The Last of Us Part II. Swallow was born December 18, 1979, in Washington, D.C. She was raised in Sterling, Virginia and Jacksonville, Florida. She began her acting career at Stanton College Preparatory School, Jacksonville when she was a student. Swallow graduated from Stanton College's Preparatory School in the city of Jacksonville, in 2001, earning the degree of Bachelor of Arts in Middle Eastern Studies. She continued to study for an MFA in Acting at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. In 2008, she made her film debut with The Lucky Ones, a military drama. She starred in world premieres of Donald Margulies' play The Country House at Los Angeles' Geffen Playhouse as well as in a duet with Mark Rylance in Louis Jenkins in the production of Nice Fish at the Guthrie Theatre,[citation needed] and in John Patrick Shanley's musical Romantic Poetry at Manhattan Theater Club. [citation needed] In 2010 she was awarded the Falstaff Award as best female performer for her role in The Taming of the Shrew. She also performed with Jac Huberman in Jac N Swallow's musical Romantic Poetry at the Manhattan Theater Club. The show is about the hilarious misadventures of Swallow and Jac Huberman as they face very different challenges in their lives with the same degree of difficulty.
