Alona Tal

Alona Tal, an Israeli American actor and singer was born on the 20th of October 1983 in Herzliya. After serving as a member of the Israeli Defense Forces, she began her career. In 2003, she starred in an Israeli film. This was her major breakthrough. In addition to her appearances in Israeli films, she composed many songs with Subliminal. Tal relocated with her sister to New York in order to be away from her professional life. In the hit song "Party to Damascus" she performed in a collaboration with Wyclef Jean from Haiti. She also was able to establish herself in American television, with a regular role on the series Veronica Mars: She originally was a candidate for the lead, but creator Rob Thomas wrote a new character exclusively for her. Tal eventually got an appointment as a regular character on the CBS series. After making the move to New York, he appeared in two shows on TV in Israel. Wyclef Jean was her singing partner. Her first language is Hebrew. Second place for the role as Veronica Mars (2004). Her audition was initially unsuccessful and Rob Thomas' second choice. Thomas liked her so much that he made the character that would play Meg Manning specifically for her. He was in The Israel Defense Forces.
