Rosario Isabel Dawson was born on May 9, 1979. [3] She is an American producer, actress and director. Her feature film debut was in 1995's independent drama Kids. The roles she played in subsequent films include He Got Game (1998), Josie and the Pussycats (2001), Men in Black II (2002), Rent (2005), Sin City (2005), Clerks II (2006), Death Proof (2007), Seven Pounds (2008), Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief (2010), Unstoppable (2010), Zookeeper (2011), Trance (2013), Top Five (2014) and Zombieland: Double Tap (2019). Dawson has voiced characters for Warner Bros./DC Comics, Disney/Marvel and ViacomCBS Nickelodeon. The actress has also been nominated for the Critics' Choice Movie Award for Best actress in a Comedy for Top Five (2014), Trance (2013), Top Five (2014), and Zombieland Double Tap (2019). Dawson was born on May 9, 1979 in New York City. Isabel Celeste is her mother and is of Afro-Cuban heritage. Rosario was 16 when Isabel was born. Her mother, Isabel Celeste, never got married to Patrick C. Harris. Rosario's mother, Greg Dawson, was a construction worker when she was just one year old. Through this marriage, Dawson has a half-brother, Clay, who is four years younger than her. Dawson is also famous for her role in comic book adaptations. These include Gail in Sin City (2005), Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2014), Claire Temple (2015-2018) as well as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman in the DC Animated Movie Universe. She also voices Barbara Gordon/Batgirl on The Lego Batman Movie. She portrayed Ahsoka Tano on The Mandalorian's second season in 2020 , and will also be appearing in the Disney+ original series Ahsoka. In 2021, she will reprise her role on Young Rock, a Dwayne Johnson autobiographical comedy.
