Kari Matchett Biography

Kari Matchett is an Canadian actress, most well-known for her roles in movies like "Apartment Hunting, 'Men with Brooms, The Tree of Life.' She was raised in Spalding and attended the high school in Alberta. She became interested in acting as a hobby during her teenage years. To receive further training in acting, she enrolled at the 'National Theatre School, located in Montreal and then went to the  Moscow Theatre School.' Her first appearance on television came in 1996, playing a supporting part in the Canadian series called 'The Rez.' She appeared in series like 'Forever Knight' "Ready or Not?" and others that in the same year. In the latter part of the 90s, she also made her movie debut with the film titled Papertrail. Later she appeared in movies like 'Men with Brooms’ and 'Cypher. Additionally, she played supporting roles in series like "A Nero Wolfe Mystery" and "Blue Murder." She was still appearing in films through the 2000s. However the films she appeared in were smaller than her television ones. In 1998, she also appeared playing the lead role as 'Colleen Blessed' in the Canadian drama series "Power Play.' The series ran for 26 episodes and received both critical and commercial praise. The actress was nominated for the  Gemini Award' for her role in the series. Jude Lyon Matchett became her first child in June 2013. However, she did not disclose the father's name. According to some reports, her ex boyfriend is her father. Kari Matchett met T.W. Peacocke and Kari Matchett started dating in the late 1990s. The couple got married in 1998. They divorced in 2006 after their marriage was broken up
