Rashida Jones
Rashida Jones was the youngest daughter
of media producer, mogul, Quincy Jones and actress Peggy Lipton. She has an
older sister, Kidada Jones, as well as five half-siblings from the
relationships of her father's previous relationships. Her father is African-American,
and her mother Ashkenazi Jewish (a descendant from immigrants from Russia and
Latvia). Rashida was born into Reform Judaism. Her birthplace was Bel Air, Los
Angeles. Jones claimed that her mixed-race parentage was not accepted by the public
until the 1970s. Jones first professional acting experience was on The Last Don
(1997) A mini-series based on Mario Puzo's novel. Also in 1997, Rashida
graduated from Harvard University. She attended the Buckley School in Sherman
Oaks (California). Voted Most Likely to Suffer. Arabic (O+ O'UO-O(c), her name)
stands for "Major," adult, mature, wise or senior. The People
Magazine's "50 Most Beautiful People" list. (USA2002) Half-sister to
Quincy Jones III and Jolie Jones. Martina Jones, Kenya Kinski Jones, Rachel
Jones, and Martina Jones. The couple was previously married to Mark Ronson
(music producer), 25 February 2003. Niece of Robert Lipton. Her romantic
partners include Josh Hartnett and Charlie Hunnam. A vocalist was included in a
tribute song to Tupac Shakur, who was married to her sister, Kidada Jones.
Kidada as well as Rashida's brother Quincy Jones III composed the song. Quincy
Jones III, their father, was also featured in the intro, singing Shakur's lines
"Starry Night". The song's title is a reference to the poem.
Rashida's father is African-American, also has a lesser amount of English,
Scottish and Welsh roots (some people who are ancestors to Rashida's African
relatives are from the Tikar people of Cameroon). Rashida's mother, Ashkenazi
Jewish (of Russian Jewish heritage as well as Latvian Jewish heritage), is
Rashida. Her paternal grandparents, who were both of South Carolina, and
Mississippi, were her paternal grandparents. Her maternal grandfather was born
to New Yorkers, while her maternal grandmother was of Eastern European Jewish
heritage. At the end 2009, she was playing three distinct characters in the
show, including "Karen", on the classic TV sitcoms Freaks and Geeks
(1999), Stella ((2005) and The Office ((2005)).
