Deborah Rhea Seehorn Bio

Deborah Rhea Seehorn, born May 12, 1972, is an American actress. Her most well-known role is the role of Kim Wexler, an attorney in AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-2018) where she was a two-time recipient of the Satellite Award as Best Supporting Actress (Series, Miniseries or Television Film. The show also starred her in the NBC miniseries Whitney (2011)-2013 and ABC's I'm with Her(2003)-2004 and TNT's Franklin & Bash (2011)-2014. Deborah Rhea Seehorn, a Norfolk native, was born May 12, 1972. Her mother worked as an executive assistant for the United States Navy, and her father was an agent in the Naval Investigative Service. She grew up in a family which moved frequently, including in Washington, D.C., Arizona as well as Japan. She followed in the footsteps her grandmother and father by taking classes in architecture, painting and drawing from an early age. As she pursued her love of the visual arts, she also discovered a passion for acting. She was also introduced to modern theater in the course of her college. She graduated from George Mason University in 1994 with a bachelor's degree in Studio Art. Seehorn at the time of her college graduation was interested in entering the theater after being encouraged by her acting teacher. To be noticed she was employed in ancillary roles in D.C.'s theatre industry. She managed to land certain parts in local theatre productions. However, she still was forced to do odd jobs to make ends meet. To pay her bills, she was also able to take on roles in short instructional films. In the following years, she was able to find roles in more television shows, mostly in roles she described as "very wry, sarcastic, knowing women" which was similar to her idol Bea Arthur. However, most of her roles were short-run series cancelled after one or two seasons. Seehorn was part of Better Call Saul, the Breaking Bad spinoff series. Seehorn plays Kim Wexler, a lawyer and love interest of the aforementioned Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk).
